Bio:
First-year starter who earned Second Team All-Pac-12 honors and caught 21 passes for 289 yards and two touchdowns in 2017. Made five starts and posted four catches for 47 yards and one score as a junior. Combined to make 10 tackles (three for loss) with one sack and one forced fumble as a defensive lineman during his first two seasons at Washington before moving to tight end.
Pos:
Big, strong blocking tight end who plays the position like an offensive lineman. Plays with a nasty attitude, shows tremendous strength as a blocker and moves defenders off the line. Quick out to the second level, squares into linebackers and works to finish off opponents. Uses his large frame to shield away defenders and protect the pass as a receiver. Comes back to the ball and works to make himself an available target.
Neg:
Lumbers around the field and displays minimal quickness and speed. Not much of an offensive threat. Average pass catcher.
Analysis:
Dissly is a tight end in an offensive lineman’s body and offers possibilities as the third man on the depth chart who will see action in short-yardage and goal line situations.
