Underclassmen Tracker: December 20th
Tony PaulineDraft Analyst Writer
Here’s the latest on potential underclassmen entries into the draft including the Ohio State Buckeyes expected to make the jump. There’s also a surprise from the small school ranks.
Three junior linebackers are very likely to enter the draft from what I’m told.
Zach Cunningham of Vanderbilt has been interviewing agents and is believed to be close to picking an agent. At this point it would be a surprise if he didn’t enter the draft.
I’m getting signals that Northwestern linebacker Anthony Walker is also likely to enter the draft.
Raekwon McMillan of Ohio State makes three as most expect the Ohio State product to make the jump.
I’m told McMillan is likely to be joined by cornerback Gareon Conley (who publically stated he’s made no final decision) as well as the team’s other cornerback, Marshon Lattimore. To reiterate what I printed last week, despite denials most believe safety Malik Hooker will enter the draft.
Those close to the situation tell me Harold Landry of Boston College is leaning towards entering the draft.
From the skill positions Wyoming running back Brian Hill is expected to enter the draft.
At this time no decision has been made by receiver Isaiah Ford of Virginia Tech, who’s received third round grades from teams.
Looking for a small school sleeper who may be a surprise entry into the draft? Remember the name of tight end Adam Shaheen from Ashland, whom I presently grade as a fourth rounder.
The 6-foot/5-inch Shaheen is a match-up nightmare who jumps out on film. Last year he recorded 57 receptions for 867 yards with 16 TD’s.
