Bio:
Three-year starter who earned First Team All-Big Ten honors in each of his final two seasons with the Buckeyes. Recorded 20 tackles (9.5 for loss), seven sacks and two forced fumbles as a senior. Led the team with 10.5 tackles for loss, eight sacks and three forced fumbles and made 29 tackles in 2016. Named Honorable Mention All-Big Ten and posted 54 tackles (14 for loss) and a team-high eight sacks as a sophomore.
Pos:
Undersized speed rusher coming off a disappointing season. Fires off the snap, easily changes direction and shows speed both in a straight line and laterally. Quick out to the flanks in pursuit of the action, fluid when asked to twist and stunt and effectively uses his hands. Fast off the edge, plays with a nasty attitude and stays with assignments.
Neg:
Struggles getting off blocks. Easily handled at the point. Will be a liability against the run.
Analysis:
After a terrific sophomore season, Lewis watched his play level off the next two years at Ohio State. He’s a first-step lineman who needs a free shot at the action but could do well at the next level as a situational pass rusher and one-gap defensive end.
