Pos:
Playmaking quarterback with an outstanding command of the offense. Patient and poised in the pocket, buys as much time as necessary and does not get rattled under pressure. Knows where his receivers are, stands in against the rush and leaves the pocket only when necessary. Quickly locates the open wideout, makes good decisions and displays excellent timing on throws. Puts touch on the ball and throws catchable passes. Sets up screen throws very well.
Neg:
Lacks a deep arm. Doesn’t show great pocket stature.
Analysis:
Rogers is an underrated game-controlling quarterback who would be an effective backup in a timing or west coast offense.
