Pos:
Physically gifted tackle prospect with great upside but a large amount of risk. Athletic, agile and moves well on his feet. Sets with a wide base, sinks his butt at the line of scrimmage and consistently blocks with leverage. Fires off the snap, stays square and easily controls opponents at the point. Works blocks, keeps his feet moving and displays the ability to consistently ride pass rushers from their angles of attack. Quick out to the second level, keeps his head on a swivel and always looks for someone to hit. Displays good range and footwork off the edge.
Neg:
Must place his hands into defenders better. On the ground too much. Has a host of off-field issues that will raise red flags.
Analysis:
Roemer possesses the size, athleticism and upside potential to be a top left-tackle prospect for the next level, and as I stated last October, I believe he can be the best offensive lineman to come from San Diego State since Kyle Turley. Roemer does have a lot of character flaws that led to his downfall with the Aztecs and will raise red flags in war rooms around the league. He's a boom-or-bust prospect who can develop into a starter at the next level or be forced to look for a new line of work.
