Bio:
Three-year starter who made 40 tackles (9.5 for loss) with two sacks as a senior. Recorded 28 tackles (3.5 for loss) in 2016. Posted 33 tackles (5.5 for loss), 1.5 sacks and two forced fumbles as a sophomore. Missed most of the 2014 season due to injury.
Pos:
Tough, nasty lineman who does a terrific job occupying gaps. Plays with proper lean, keeps his feet moving on contact and effectively uses his hands to protect himself. Strong enough to hold the point, takes up a lot of space in the middle of the line and does the little things well.
Neg:
Flashes first-step quickness but is often very inconsistent getting off the line of scrimmage. Often controlled at the point by a single blocker and easily knocked off balance. Not much of a playmaker.
Analysis:
Lancaster has the build and growth potential to be used as a zero-technique tackle and is the type of productive prospect whose contributions don’t always show up on the stat sheet.
