Bio:
Two-year starter who made 44 tackles as a senior. Named Honorable Mention All-ACC after making 58 tackles and breaking up four passes in 2016. Started the first six games of his sophomore season and posted 21 tackles with one sack before suffering a season-ending bicep injury.
Pos:
Hard-working defensive back with average physical skills. Strong, defeats blocks and shows a quick closing burst to the action. Wraps up tackling and brings opponents down in the open field. Aggressive, quickly closes to the action and works hard to make plays.
Neg:
Not quick out of his transition, displays average awareness and anticipation in coverage and lacks great lateral speed.
Analysis:
Marshall was a solid college safety but has athletic limitations for the next level. He could line up in a zone system but must play well on special teams this summer to have any chance of making a final roster.
