Talented and underrated cornerback with the size and skill to start at the next level. Engages receivers at the line of scrimmage, smoothly transitions off the snap and stays on his opponent’s hip out of breaks. Effectively reads and diagnoses the action, locates the ball in the air and positions himself to defend the throw. Explodes to the play out of his plant, shows a tremendous burst of closing speed and plays physical, aggressive football. Fundamentally sound with a smooth backpedal.
Must improve his playing strength. Struggles getting off blocks. Loses out to larger, more physical receivers.
White was a terrific cornerback during his entire four-year career at LSU and will likely be selected during the draft’s second round. He should eventually develop into a starter at the next level.
