Four-year starter as a hybrid strong safety who made 41 tackles (3.5 for loss) with five pass breakups in 2016. Limited to five games as a junior in 2015 due to a torn meniscus suffered in September, finishing with 17 tackles (four for loss). Led all SEC defensive backs with nine tackles for loss as a sophomore and ranked second on the team with 69 tackles, adding one sack and one interception. Named to the SEC All-Freshman team and received Freshman All-American consideration after making 66 tackles (five for loss) with one sack, one interception and six pass breakups in 2013.
Large, forceful safety best defending the run. Aggressive, tough and works to make plays on the ball. Quick up the field, aggressively defends the run and is a secure tackler. Works well with cornerbacks and displays solid ball skills. Possesses a short burst.
Shows little in the way of lateral speed. Possesses average change of direction. Seemingly lost a step off the knee injury from 2015.
Conner is a forceful college safety who lacks next-level speed and may struggle finding a place in the NFL.
