Bio:
Four-year starter at left tackle who earned Second Team FCS All-America 2017. Named First Team All-CAA in 2016. Earned Second Team All-CAA honors in 2015. Started nine games at left tackle and three games at right tackle as a redshirt freshman.
Pos:
Tough, nasty small-school left tackle best on the strong side. Explosive at the point, bends his knees and plays with leverage. Strong, gets movement as a run blocker and can be a devastating force. Effective with his hands, patient in pass protection and keeps his feet moving. Makes proper use of angles, stays square and anchors at the point. Recent injuries have raised red flags.
Neg:
Shows stiffness in his game and struggles to redirect and adjust to defenders. Ducks his head and overextends into blocks. Lacks fluid footwork off the edge.
Analysis:
Parris is a big, strong run blocker who fits best at right tackle or potentially inside at guard. He's a solid developmental prospect with next-level possibilities if he's healthy and continues to improve.
