Pos:
Nice-sized cornerback who comes off a terrific senior campaign. Keeps the action in front of him, stays with assignments and works well with safeties to bracket receivers over the middle of the field. Plays heads-up football and effectively tracks the pass in the air. Adjusts to defend the throw and intercept the pass. Vicious hitter, attacks opponents and quickly comes up the field to defend running plays and screen passes. Solid special-teams player.
Neg:
Possesses average closing speed and an average burst to the ball out of his plant. Has an injury history and spent most of the prior two seasons on the sidelines.
Analysis:
Harris possesses next-level size and ball skills and the ability to be used in a variety of schemes. I had him highly rated after his sophomore season of 2014, but injuries took their toll and he may be a medical red flag. If Harris passes medicals, he should get late-round consideration and can be used in bump-and-run coverage or in a zone system and may even get consideration inside at safety.
