Pos:
Track-and-field sprinter who transitioned to the football field last season and showed a lot of ability. Quickly releases off the line of scrimmage, immediately gets to top speed and plays to his 40 time. Solid route runner who shows the ability to separate from opponents out of breaks. Works his hands to come free, consistently comes back to the ball and extends and gets vertical for the high pass. Catches the ball with his hands. Tracks the pass in the air and adjusts to the errant throw at full speed.
Neg:
Lacks bulk and strength and struggles in battles. Needs free space to operate. Easily brought down at the point by a single defender. Will struggle against jams at the next level. Does not have a big body of work on the college field.
Analysis:
Wright turned in a solid season last year and had a strong week of practices at the Shrine Game. He's a vertical receiver with return ability who would be best in the slot, but he needs to get a little bit stronger. At the very worst, I see Wright on a practice squad this fall.
