Pos:
Developing receiver who followed up a solid 2018 campaign with a tremendous performance at the Senior Bowl. Plays fast, displays himself as a solid vertical receiver and extends to snatch the ball out of the air. Comes back to the ball and works to make himself an available target. Athletic, has a burst that he turns on in a single step and easily makes the reception at full speed. Effective downfield blocker.
Neg:
Displayed a lot of inconsistency the past two seasons. Lets passes get inside him and drops some very catchable throws. Secures the ball against his frame. Does not always play to his 40 time.
Analysis:
McLaurin was a solid contributor and a great red-zone target for Ohio State the past two seasons but never had gaudy production. His performance during three days of Senior Bowl practice really elevated his draft stock, and if he's able to build off that performance, McLaurin could develop into a second receiver at the next level.
