Bio:
Two-year starter who led Washington State in receiving with 70 catches for 831 yards and nine touchdowns as a junior before being dismissed from the football program for a violation of team rules. Caught 64 passes for 728 yards and seven TDs in 2016. Made 16 receptions for 124 yards and one score as a true freshman.
Pos:
Marginally athletic receiver who made a poor choice entering the draft. Has nice length, extends and snatches the ball away from his frame with his hands. Shows good quickness, comes back to the ball and works to offer the quarterback a target. Consistent hands catcher.
Neg:
Plays to his speed. Tested poorly at the combine in every area. Maturity has come into question.
Analysis:
Martin was a productive receiver in Washington State’s high-powered passing offense but lacks size and will struggle to make a roster due to his lack of speed.
