Bio:
Graduate transfer from Utah who started his only season with the Trojans, making 53 tackles (two for loss) and earning Second Team All-Pac-12 honors. Combined for 36 tackles (seven for loss) as a sophomore and a junior with the Utes. Missed the 2013 season with a foot injury after spending three years on a Mormon mission to the Philippines.
Pos:
Utah transfer who watched his game take off last season. Large and powerful and takes up a lot of room in the middle of the line. Bends his knees, plays with leverage and explodes off the snap. Powerful, gets push up the field and forces ball carriers to re-route their runs. Fights with his hands, swallows up blocks and creates opportunities for teammates. Competitive and fights throughout the action.
Neg:
Not much of a pass rusher. Must develop more moves and become quicker disengaging from blocks. Struggled to break into the starting lineup when he was at Utah.
Analysis:
Tu'Ikolovatu is a wide-bodied nose tackle prospect with great explosion and power. He’s not much of a playmaker but would do well in a system which requires him to occupy the gaps.
