Bio:
Four-year starter who earned First Team All-SoCon honors in each of those seasons. Led Tennessee-Chattanooga with three interceptions and made 43 tackles in 2017. Recorded 57 tackles, one interception, two forced fumbles and eight PBUs as a junior. Led the team with three interceptions and added 70 tackles and five pass breakups in 2015. Tied for the SoCon lead with six interceptions as a true freshman and posted 58 tackles.
Pos:
Disciplined and instinctive small-school safety with average next-level physical skills. Keeps the action in front of him, plays heads-up football and quickly tracks the pass in the air. Works well with cornerbacks over the middle of the field, quickly moves in every direction and shows a burst to the play. Fires up the field to defend the run, takes proper angles and wraps up tackling.
Neg:
Lacks great speed to the flanks. Struggles with his back to the ball. More of a drag-down tackler.
Analysis:
Webb is a tough and instinctive safety with nice size but average speed. He offers possibilities in a zone system but must play well on special teams this summer.
