Bio:
Four-year starter who was named Honorable Mention All-ACC after making 79 tackles with three interceptions and four pass breakups in 2017. Earned Second Team All-AAC honors and posted 51 tackles and two interceptions as a junior after moving from cornerback to safety. Was named Second Team All-AAC in his final season on the outside, tallying 66 tackles (5.5 for loss), four interceptions and a team-high 10 PBUs in 2015. Made 69 tackles and broke up eight passes as a true freshman.
Pos:
Well-built defensive back with experience at cornerback and safety. Tough run defender who takes good angles to the ball and explodes at the point of attack. Remains disciplined with assignments, keeps the play in front of him and works hard to get off blocks. Plays aggressive, physical football.
Neg:
Possesses average ball skills. Lacks great range in center field. Not a stout tackler.
Analysis:
Chandler received second-day grades from scouts entering the season, which were inflated and unwarranted. He offers solid size and a physical nature which could help him line up as a zone or strong safety at the next level.
