Scouting the MAC - Ball State

Tony Pauline
Draft Analyst WriterBall State comes off a terrible season in which it went winless in conference play. As one would expect, their next-level prospects are limited.
Quarterback Riley Neal was off to a hot start in the season opener against Illinois and looked every bit of a next-level passer, which we spoke about a year ago.
Neal is an intelligent signal caller who accurately hits receivers in stride and does not make poor throws. He doesn’t show a big-time arm but has enough arm strength to play at the next level.
Neal obtained a redshirt year after his injury-shortened campaign in 2017 and now has two more years to improve his game.
