The Demon Deacons move towards the 2017 season with solid prospects on both sides of the line of scrimmage.

Senior defensive end/pass rusher Duke Ejiofor has been a solid starter the past two seasons, showing improvement in his game during both campaigns.

An athletic edge rusher, Ejiofor totaled 10.5 sacks last season and added 17 tackles for loss. He’s fluid and smooth and beats blockers with agility and fundamentals.

Ejiofor lacks natural bulk and struggles coming off blocks. Watching him on film this summer, I couldn’t help make the comparison in style and substances to Tarell Basham, the third-round choice of the Indianapolis Colts last April.

Left tackle Justin Herron caught my eye on film.

I found him to be athletic and fluid off the edge, and he really stood out in pass protection. I’d like to see Herron improve his run blocking strength, but I like his next-level upside
