Scouting the ACC - Virginia

The Cavaliers look like a program ready to take the next step, although they must overcome the loss of talent and leadership from the senior class.

Juan Thornhill is a player I’ve liked the past two years. He offers solid size, instincts and general football skills. Many have graded Thornhill at cornerback, but I believe his best next-level position is safety, the spot he handled so successfully in 2016.

Thornhill plays big football but remains disciplined with assignments and does not have mental lapses on the field.

There are no more draftable Cavaliers on our draft board, but keep an eye on Tim Harris, a corner who flashed skill early in his Virginia career before having his development derailed by injury.
