The Blue Devils football team is overshadowed by the hoopsters yet despite being continually dismissed, the program manufactures wins. Two redshirt sophomores rank as our top next-level prospects.

The more I watched Joe Giles-Harris, the more I was impressed by the linebacker. Undersized but athletic and fast, Giles-Harris makes plays sideline to sideline as well as up the field. He’s outstanding in pursuit and also forceful on the blitz.

I presently grade Giles-Harris as a mid-round pick but could see him moving into the draft’s second day if he continues to improve.

Quarterback Daniel Jones is a tall game manager with a next-level arm.

Methodical, he spreads the ball around, accurately hitting as many receivers as possible over the entire game. Jones needs to cut down on the INTs but has a large upside and could be a godsend for head coach David Cutcliffe.
