Four-year starter who earned First Team AFCA All-America honors as well as Third Team FCS All-America honors from the Associated Press, STATS and Hero Sports in 2016 and received an invite to the NFLPA Bowl. Received All-Big Sky honors in each of his sophomore, junior and senior years. Finished his career with 188 tackles, 24 sacks, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries.
Tremendous athlete and defensive front-seven prospect who needs a lot of work on his game. Fires off the snap with an explosive first step, shows a burst of closing speed and moves well in every direction of the field. Plays with outstanding knee bend and leverage, fluidly collapses down the line of scrimmage and moves well laterally. Slices inside blocks, uses his hands to protect himself and always plays with proper pad level. Shows speed off the edge and the ability to bend out of a three-point stance.
Slow locating the ball and must improve his instincts. Easily engulfed at the point or ridden from his angle of attack. Often times pins his ears back and rushes up the field, taking himself out of the play.
Ebukam is a prospect I’ve watched the past two years, and he’s an outstanding athlete with a large amount of upside potential. Likely best at outside linebacker in a 3-4, he offers definite possibilities as a situational pass rusher on Sundays.
