Bio:
Two-year starter who transferred to Indiana from junior college. Completed 58.3 percent of his passes for 1,936 yards, 15 touchdowns and eight interceptions in 2017. Named Honorable Mention All-Big Ten and threw for 3,362 yards and 19 touchdowns as a junior, competing 57.8 percent of his passes with 17 interceptions. Started his career at Oklahoma State in 2013 before leaving for Cisco Community College.
Pos:
Junior college transfer with next-level size and erratic accuracy. Patient in the pocket, buys time for receivers and waits until the last moment before releasing the ball. Stands in against the rush, senses pressure and steps up to avoid defenders and takes big hits to get passes away. Displays a terrific sense of where his receivers are on the field, puts touch on throws when necessary and goes to checkdown receivers if nothing else is available. Throws with a compact motion, puts velocity on passes and powers balls through tight windows. Effectively sells ball fakes and quickly locates open wideouts.
Neg:
All over the place with throws and makes receivers work hard to come away with receptions. Slow finding defenders in the back seven and occasionally forces balls into coverage.
Analysis:
Lagow possesses the size and arm strength for the next level but needs to improve his accuracy and the details of his position to have any chance of making an NFL roster.
