Bio:
Two-year starter who made 13 tackles with two interceptions and four pass breakups in seven games while battling an ankle injury in 2017. Earned Second Team All-OVC honors and recorded 28 tackles, two interceptions and eight PBUs as a junior. Combined to post 16 tackles during his first two seasons at Jacksonville State.
Pos:
Nice-sized cornerback who comes off an injury-plagued campaign. Has excellent length and plays big football. Physical, mixes it up with opponents throughout the route and possesses solid cover skills. Keeps the action in front of him, works to get off blocks and fights to make plays up the field. Runs downfield with opponents and gets his head back around to track the pass in the air. Consistently positions himself against receivers to make plays on the ball.
Neg:
Possesses average long speed and does not show great burst to the action. Slow to react to receivers’ moves off the line.
Analysis:
Hall entered the season graded as a potential late-round pick and possesses the size, physicality and cover skills to line up in a zone system or as a traditional strong safety. I don’t expect him to get drafted, but Hall could be a real steal as an undrafted free agent.
