Bio:
Three-year starter who played left tackle his final two seasons at Portland State. Named Honorable Mention All-Big Sky as a senior. Earned Third Team All-Big Sky honors in 2016. Named Honorable Mention All-Big Sky as a sophomore despite missing three games with an ankle injury. Started the 2015 season at left guard before moving to right guard.
Pos:
Underrated tackle with nice upside potential. Bends his knees, stays square and flashes the ability to slide off the edge. Keeps his feet and hands moving, makes proper use of angles and is a terrific position blocker who seals opponents from the action. Gets his hands into defenders to steer them from their angles of attack, plays technically sound and keeps his head on a swivel.
Neg:
Overextends into blocks and loses balance. Not light on his feet. Struggles to finish opponents.
Analysis:
Crecelius is a nice-sized lineman with growth potential and enough ability to make it at the next level as an inexpensive utility blocker.
