TCU vs. Oklahoma

FOX -- 12:30 p.m. EST

Oklahoma needs a win to solidify a spot in the final four but TCU would love to pull off the upset. There are more than two dozen draftable players in this game, but the vast majority and the best play for Oklahoma.

Orlando Brown is a unanimous top-45 selection with some believing he’ll land in the first round. While I like Brown’s game he needs a lot of work and I’m not sold on his ability to play left tackle at the next level just yet. Brown is big and strong but can be exploited by speed rushers.

Enter Ben Banogu.

Little was known about the redshirt junior, who sat out last season after playing one year of football at Louisiana-Monroe. Banogu has made a big splash this year terrorizing opposing quarterbacks. During the regular season he posted 14 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks and registered seven hurries.

Banogu is an undersized college defensive end with excellent speed and quickness off the edge. And he’s the type of prospect who can exploit Orlando Brown and raise his draft stock in the process.

The other matchups to watch can be found in the secondary. Start with the ability, or inability, of safety Nick Orr to cover tight end Mark Andrews.

Orr entered the season with a draftable grade but is primarily an up-the-field safety best stopping the run. He flashes cover skills but must really step it up against Andrews, our top-rated tight end and a terrific pass catcher who stretches the field.

Finally keep an eye on TCU corner Ranthony Texada, who entered the season stamped as a street free agent but will vie for space in the late rounds after a terrific year. He’ll have his work cut out for him against the arm and accuracy of Baker Mayfield.
