Nick Cesario of the New England Patriots was just one of the many NFL decision makers on hand for WKU's pro day, which was held outside in cold, wet conditions.

Senior Bowl participant Deon Yelder, a player we noted last October as a Riser, finally got his opportunity to work out for scouts and looked good.

Yelder measured 6032 and 255 pounds, touched 33.5 inches in the vertical jump and 10-foot in the broad jump and ran 40s which timed as low as 4.72. He looked good in position drills, ran solid routes and caught the ball well.

Yelder met with Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter as well as the Minnesota Vikings, Buffalo Bills and Washington Redskins. His list of official predraft visits include the Kansas City Chiefs and Tennessee Titans.

The athletic tight end was never graded by scouts entering the season, but on film he presents himself as a natural pass catcher with dependable hands.
