Two teams from the American Athletic Conference had pro-day workouts today, and the recurring theme was defense.

Defensive tackle Folorunso Fatukasi was the highlight of the UConn event and was the only player from either school who participated at the combine.

Fatukasi stood on his combine numbers but looked good in position drills. He spent most of yesterday afternoon interviewing and doing board work with the Tennessee Titans. He was supposed to meet with the team again after today’s workout, but bad weather forced an early exit by the Tennessee staff.

Underrated linebacker Junior Joseph, graded as a potential last-round pick before the season, also had a decent day. Joseph completed 24 reps on the bench and touched 35 inches in the vertical jump and 9-foot-11.5 in the broad jump. He timed in the high-4.7s in the 40 as well as 4.32 in the short shuttle and 6.94 in the three-cone.

Known as a terrific run defender, Joseph met with the New York Jets today and is receiving interest from the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons.
