Large crowds were on hand to watch Nick Allegretti of Illinois and cornerback Blace Brown of Troy in separate pro-day workouts. Here’s the latest.

Blace Brown improved his 40 time by more than one-tenth after he timed 4.75 at the combine, running from 4.65 to as low as 4.54 in the rain during Troy's pro day. He also touched 37.5 inches in the vertical jump.

Brown looked good in position drills, which were run by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He spent significant time with the Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs and Tennessee Titans, and all three teams have shown interest in the corner. Brown also met with the Detroit Lions

Many were surprised when Nick Allegretti, who stood out during practices for the Shrine Game, was not invited to the combine. As a result, 29 scouts showed up for his pro day.

Numbers are slowly coming in and Allegretti, who measured 6042 and 310 pounds, touched 29 inches on the vertical jump.

He met extensively with the Baltimore Ravens and New England Patriots, and both teams have shown a lot of interest in the versatile blocker who can line up at guard or center. The Patriots have a long history of selecting lineman like Allegretti in the late rounds and turning them into long-time starters.
