Here are a few final notes from the Michigan pro day as well as the results from New Haven.

Yesterday I reported that while Jabrill Peppers had a solid day, most felt he was the third or fourth best defensive back on the field. Some who attended the workout felt the hype machine may have gotten to him.

Peppers' every move was followed by cameramen and he seemed to hyped up. Prior to position drills, Peppers was lobbying to run the 40 again but his representatives would not allow it.

Jourdan Lewis looked exceptional in position drills and was head and shoulders above everyone else. Most on hand believe the recent domestic violence charge against the cornerback could push him into the very late rounds. His next court appearance is April 12.

Channing Stribling significantly improved his 40 from the combine by timing 4.53s-4.55s yesterday. His other marks included 4.22s in the short shuttle and a three-cone of 7.09s, and Stribling looked good in position drills. He’s a terrific cornerback but a marginal athlete yet should be able to line up in nickel and dime packages at the next level.

Versatile offensive lineman Erik Magnuson, a combine snub, timed 5.45s/5.44s in the 40 and 4.85s in the short shuttle and completed 21 reps on the bench press.

On Thursday night, Magnuson met with the New Orleans Saints.

Defensive tackle Matthew Godin measured 6054 and 295 pounds, completed 26 reps on the bench and reached nine feet in the broad jump. His 40 clocked in at 5.13s while he also timed 7.53s in the three-cone.

Receiver Amara Darboh caught fire with a terrific performance at the combine and kept the momentum going at pro day. He ran great routes and caught the ball well yesterday.

Starting on Thursday night, Darboh met with the Tennessee Titans, Carolina Panthers, New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints.

New Haven

A small crowd of 10 teams was on hand at New Haven for Friday’s pro day.

Offensive guard Zach Voytek measured 6042 and 313 pounds, completed 22 reps on the bench and timed 5.39s in the 40 and 4.70s in the short shuttle.

Middle linebacker Tyler Condit completed 21 reps on the bench and ran in the mid-to-upper 4.6s. He met with the New York Giants and Indianapolis Colts after the workout.
