There are a ton of workouts today that offer a broad spectrum of prospects for scouts to watch. From quarterback Josh Allen, who will be a top-five pick, to Matthew Gono, a terrific small-school lineman from Wesley College, scouts will be across the country today watching a lot of next-level talent. Lets start off with a few notes.

Earlier this week, South Carolina State linebacker Darius Leonard took part in the South Carolina pro day. The small-school linebacker, who performed well at the Senior Bowl and turned in a solid combine workout, stood on his 40 time from Indianapolis, as he’s suffering with a mild quad strain. He did complete 20 reps on the bench, touch 38 inches in the vertical jump and time 4.5 in the short shuttle.

Linebackers coaches from the Miami Dolphins and Arizona Cardinals were on hand to watch Leonard, who will be working out privately for the Dallas Cowboys today.

Leonard will also be making an official visit to see the Cowboys, and his visit schedule also includes the Philadelphia Eagles, Arizona Cardinals and New York Giants.

Earlier this week, we reported that the Cowboys have a workout and visit planned with Boise State linebacker Leighton Vander Esch.

The Cowboys will also be working out San Diego State tight end David Wells today, who looked good during Thursday’s pro day.
