Pos:
King-sized defensive tackle who burst onto the scene in 2018. Powerful and attracts double-team blocks in the middle of the line but still gets push up the field. Splits blocks, gets behind the line of scrimmage and forces the action. Gets a lot of momentum going and can be tough to handle. Shows mobility, easily changes direction and redirects to the play well. Fights with his hands.
Neg:
Gets tall and does not play with proper pad level or knee bend. Relies too much on power rather than technique. Seems to wear down over the course of the game.
Analysis:
Johnson was not on the scouting radar before the season began, but his size, mobility and ability to make plays is enticing. He's drawn comparisons to former nose tackle Damon Harrison in many ways, and if focused on the task at hand, Johnson could eventually develop into a productive Sunday player.
