Bio:
Three-year starter who was named Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2016 and 2017 and earned First Team All-America honors as a junior and Second Team All-America honors as a sophomore. Started 13 games at left tackle as a true freshman and was named Honorable Mention All-Big 12.
Pos:
Large, powerful left tackle best in a small area. Stays square, makes proper use of angles and anchors in pass protection. Sets with a wide base, displays excellent blocking vision and picks up assignments. Recognizes blitzes and stunts and twists up front. Strong, seals the edge with body positioning and tosses defenders aside or engulfs them altogether. Jolts opponents with violent hand punch, easily turns them from the action and knocks them off the ball.
Neg:
Does not sink his butt at the line of scrimmage. Lacks footwork, cannot adjust and gets exploited by inside moves. Not a natural knee bender.
Analysis:
Brown offers tremendous size and growth potential and plays powerful football. He’s strictly a right tackle prospect for the next level and is by no means is a sure thing.
