Bio:
Three-year starter at left guard who earned First Team All-Mountain West honors in both 2015 and 2016. Started all 13 games as a sophomore after making one start in 2013.
Pos:
Tough, nasty offensive lineman who plays a fairly athletic game. Explosive at the point, anchors in pass protection and does enough to turn defenders from the line to open up running lanes. Quickly gets into blocks, bends his knees and starts with outstanding pad level. Moves well on his feet, easily gets out to the second level and redirects to linebackers. Effective blocking on the move and shows the ability to hit a target in motion. Works blocks, plays through the whistle and attacks assignments.
Neg:
Really doesn’t sink his butt at the line of scrimmage and gets tall as the play proceeds. Late with his hands. Average skill sliding in space.
Analysis:
Siragusa was productive on the college level and is much more athletic than his numbers would lend one to believe. He offers potential in a zone-blocking system but must consistently play with proper fundamentals to make it off the bench and play with the first team on Sundays.
