Bio:
Three-year starter who earned First Team All-Big 12 honors and led TCU with three interceptions as a senior, recording 66 tackles (three for loss) and five pass breakups. Named Second Team All-Big 12 and made 86 tackles with a team-high four interceptions and six PBUs in 2016. Posted 50 tackles, one interception, one forced fumble and nine pass breakups as a sophomore.
Pos:
Average-sized safety who plays aggressive football. Explosive at the point, keeps the action in front of him and fires up the field to defend the run. Effectively reads and diagnoses the action, displays speed to the flanks and has a nice move to the throw. Tracks the pass in the air, competes to defend the throw and shows good hands for the interception.
Neg:
Struggles with deep-coverage responsibilities and helping cornerbacks down the field. Rarely makes plays with his back to the ball. More of a drag-down tackler.
Analysis:
Orr is an instinctive safety with limited physical skills. He could line up as a strong safety or in a zone system but may never be anything other than the eighth defensive back on the depth chart.
