Pos:
Explosive college pass rusher with tremendous upside potential. Very agile and plays with great balance and body control. Consistently gets leverage on opponents, plays with proper pad level and keeps his feet moving. Fast off the edge, fires off the snap and shows good instincts. Solid run defender who uses his hands incredibly well to shed blocks. Fluid if asked to twist or stunt, explosive and strong. Knocks blockers back from the action, displays a closing burst and wraps up tackling. Easily changes direction and displays the ability to immediately alter his angle of attack and collapse down the line of scrimmage to defend the run. Looks the part, displays a variety of moves to beat blocks and has the athleticism and quickness to get out in space and make plays.
Neg:
Like his brother Joey, does not have a great closing burst. Lacks great bulk for the next level. Missed most of the 2018 campaign after he left the Buckeyes program due to an early-season groin injury.
Analysis:
Despite missing just about all last season, Bosa still ranks as one of the top players in this year’s draft and comes with great upside. He should quickly rebound from his injury and will only get better as he physically matures and continues to get stronger.
