Bio:
Three-year starter who was named Honorable Mention All-Pac-12 and rushed for 614 yards and six touchdowns on 128 carries in 2017. Posted 320 yards and three TDs on 55 rushes in five games as a junior and missed the majority of the season with various knee, ankle and foot injuries. Led Arizona with 133 rushes and tallied 725 yards and eight scores on the ground in nine games while missing four contests with knee and foot injuries. Named Honorable Mention Pac-12 and made eight starts as a true freshman, leading the Pac-12 with 16 rushing touchdowns and carrying 236 times for 1,375 yards.
Pos:
Nice-sized ball carrier who has watched his game regress the past four years. Patiently waits for blocks to develop, displays outstanding vision and immediately finds running lanes. Possesses good short-area quickness, works runs and falls forward when tackled. Runs with good lean, has a burst through the hole and will pick and choose his spots in traffic.
Neg:
Not a ball carrier who will break many tackles off initial contact. More of a one-speed back with a minimal burst. Marginal pass-catching production.
Analysis:
After a brilliant freshman campaign, Wilson watched his game drop off significantly and must quickly produce in camp this summer to make the first round of cuts.
