Here’s the latest on what we’re hearing with a little more than 24 hours to go before the start of the 2018 NFL Draft.

* I slotted Derwin James to the Green Bay Packers in the first round of my most recent mock draft. I’m told the Packers would consider trading up for James or Denzel Ward if the opportunity presents itself.

* Yesterday we mentioned Tremaine Edmunds as a prime target for the San Francisco 49ers with the ninth selection. I’m told the team is high on Minkah Fitzpatrick, and he will also be a consideration at that spot.

* We’ve reported multiple times that the Seattle Seahawks will look to trade down from the 18th slot and if that happens, Isaiah Oliver will be on the team’s list of targets. The Seahawks have spent a tremendous amount of time with Oliver in the lead-up to the draft and like long corners who can run. Oliver and Carlton Davis of Auburn both fill the prescription, although I haven't heard any recent first-round chatter on Davis. We stated numerous times that the Seahawks are likely to take a defensive end or cornerback in the first round if they can't trade back. It’s not out of the question that they select Oliver in Round 1 if a player like Marcus Davenport is no longer available to them.

* Since last night, two separate sources tell me that they believe Maurice Hurst will fall out of the first round due to medical concerns and could drop as far as the third. Our most recent mock draft has Hurst landing with the Minnesota Vikings in Round 1.

* In the last hour, multiple sources tell me there’s a late push for Josh Rosen in the New York Jets' war room. We mentioned Rosen was still in the running with the Jets at the same time we quoted an insider stating Baker Mayfield to the Jets is a "done deal.” The belief is still that Mayfield still ends up a Jet if he’s available when the team is called to the clock, but the Rosen push is on.
