Pos:
Tough and smart small school blocker who plays with a nasty attitude. Sets with a wide base, works to bend his knees and blocks with terrific lean. Fires off the snap into blocks, works blocks hard and keeps his head on a swivel. Works well with line mates, effectively quarterbacks the offensive line and shows a feel for what’s happening on the field. Displays the ability to quickly pull across the line of scrimmage then get into the second level to take out linebackers. Patient and works hard to finish blocks. Terrific with the shotgun snaps.
Neg:
Must really improve his hand placement. Lacks finishing strength and tends to fall off blocks. On the ground too much. Shows some stiffness in his game.
Analysis:
Trewyn is a terrific small school blocking prospect who is rarely mentioned outside scouting circles but could develop into a backup center at the next level. He’s worthy of consideration in the very late rounds and at the very least, Trewyn should find his way onto a practice squad this fall.
