Bio:
Three-year starter who was named Honorable Mention All-Big Ten and made 51 tackles (6.5 for loss) with three sacks as a senior. Posted 39 tackles (three for loss) and 1.5 sacks in 2016. Tallied 42 tackles (five for loss) and two sacks as a sophomore.
Pos:
Tough, smart interior lineman with limited size and upside. Works hard in all aspects, plays heads-up football and quickly locates ball carriers. Fires off the snap, explodes through gaps and consistently plays with proper pad level. Rarely off his feet, works his hands and plays through the whistle. Focused on by opponents in the middle of the line.
Neg:
Undersized and controlled at the point of attack by a single blocker. Mostly a first-step lineman.
Analysis:
Bazata lacks next-level measurables but gets the most from his ability and could line up as a three-technique tackle and contribute on special teams.
