Bio:
First-year starter at tight end who moved from fullback before his final season. Named Second Team All-Pac-12 in 2016 after catching 25 passes for 400 yards and four touchdowns. Made 11 catches for 96 yards as a junior. Started nine games at fullback in 2014, making 12 receptions for 70 yards and two touchdowns.
Pos:
Developing tight end with a nice upside. Fluid releasing off the line of scrimmage, quickly gets to top speed and easily adjusts to grab the errant throw in stride. Extends his hands and looks the ball in. Makes the difficult reception in a crowd. Stays square and blocks with solid fundamentals.
Neg:
Lacks strength at the point of attack and gets pushed back off the line blocking. Marginally productive. Inexperienced as a starter.
Analysis:
Iese is an athletic prospect whose game took off when he moved to tight end as a senior. He offers a nice degree of upside and is a practice-squad prospect that could develop into a move tight end.
