Pos:
Underrated college left tackle who gets the most from his ability. Sets with a wide base, works to bend his knees and keeps his feet moving. Stays square, makes great use of angles and effectively fights with his hands throughout the action. Technically sound and uses outstanding body positioning to seal opponents from the play. Keeps his head on a swivel, shows great awareness and works well with linemates. Solid run blocker who gives great effort and shows the ability to move defenders at the point of attack.
Neg:
Exploited by quick, athletic pass rushers off the edge. Bends at the waist. Average athlete who won’t cover much area off the edge.
Analysis:
Hyatt is an underrated tackle prospect who did a terrific job for Clemson on the left side despite never having any help from a tight end. He's not the prettiest atlete, but he gets by with great fundamentals and uses proper angles and body positioning. Hyatt may ultimately end up at right tackle or possibly inside a guard but could begin his NFL career as a backup who develops into a starter in the right system.
