Bio:
Three-year starter who spent two years at Western Kentucky after transferring from South Florida and earned Second Team All-Conference USA honors in each of those seasons. Led the conference with 4,177 passing yards and completed 65.7 percent of his passes with 26 touchdowns and eight interceptions in 2017. Completed 67.3 percent of his passes for 4,363 yards, 37 touchdowns and seven INTs as a junior. Posted a 50.4 percent completion rate and 1,639 passing yards, eight TDs and seven picks as a sophomore with the Bulls. Started five games as a true freshman and completed 53.1 percent of his passes for 1,083 yards, three touchdowns and nine INTs.
Pos:
Smart, patient pocket passer with a terrific feel for the position. Naturally looks off the safety, goes through progressions and gets the ball to secondary targets if necessary. Displays outstanding field vision, remains poised as the pocket collapses around him and shows enough mobility to escape the rush. Sells the play-action pass, effectively commands and controls the offense and shows great awareness. Does not make bad decisions under pressure and effectively manages the game. Very accurate in the short and intermediate field. Rarely gets rattled and does not make poor throws. Throws a catchable pass. Keeps his eyes downfield when pressured. Flashes a next-level arm and the ability to get the ball downfield with a flick of his wrist. Shows a clairvoyance of knowing where his receivers are on the field.
Neg:
Not a truly elusive quarterback who can pick up yardage with his legs. Must improve his downfield accuracy. Often high of the mark and wild with throws.
Analysis:
White was a terrific college passer who has the intangibles necessary to be a game manager at the next level. He needs to work on his downfield accuracy but has the disposition and physical upside to develop for the future.
