Bio:
Committee back who led the Bearcats in rushing with 650 yards as a true freshman before averaging 7.2 yards per carry and rushing for 749 yards in 2015. Combined for 851 rushing yards on 215 carries while catching 44 passes for 426 yards over his final two seasons while battling multiple injuries, including turf toe in 2016 and an ankle injury in 2017.
Pos:
One-time highly rated ball carrier who struggled with injuries the past few years. Patient, waits for blocks to develop and effectively follows them everywhere on the field. Stout and displays good strength. Shows the ability to break tackles and pick up yardage off initial contact. Tremendous pass catcher out of the backfield who is also effective lining up on the flanks. Displays good blocking vision, squares into opponents and rides them from their angles of attack.
Neg:
Downhill ball carrier who gets into trouble when he tries to run east and west. Not creative and often just runs into piles or defenders. Possesses average playing speed.
Analysis:
After a tremendous sophomore season, Boone struggled with a foot injury over the next two years and never truly regained prior form. He comes equipped with solid size and is a sensational pass catcher out of the backfield, which gives him a slight chance to make it at the next level.
