Bio:
Three-year starter who was named Honorable Mention All-Mountain West and led San Diego State in receiving yards in each of those three seasons. Made a team-high 43 receptions for 602 receiving yards and two touchdowns in 2017. Led the team with five receiving TDs and matched the team lead with 27 catches as a junior, posting 581 yards. Set a career high and led the team with six receiving scores and caught 24 passes for 439 yards in 2015.
Pos:
Quick, reliable receiver who comes off a career year. Immediately releases off the line of scrimmage, runs solid routes and stays low out of breaks. Extends his hands to make receptions away from his frame. Displays terrific hand-eye coordination, adjusts and contorts to errant throws and makes receptions in stride. Consistent hands catcher who exposes himself to big hits and comes away with difficult receptions. Plays smart, heads-up football and consistently finds the clearing in the defense to make himself an available target.
Neg:
One-speed receiver who lacks deep burst. Turned in marginal production.
Analysis:
Holder was a consistent pass catcher for San Diego State and got the most from his ability. He offers possibilities as a fifth wideout at the next level but must stand out on special teams this summer.
