Bio:
One-year starter who was suspended for the first six games of the 2017 for an undisclosed reason. Named Honorable Mention All-Big Ten as a junior and made 21 tackles (three for loss). Posted 15 tackles (1.5 for loss) and one sack during his first three seasons with the Buckeyes.
Pos:
One-time potential late-round prospect who has fallen off the radar after recording one tackle last season. Built low to the ground, plays with proper pad level and gets leverage on opponents. Fundamentally sound, explosive at the point and uses his hands to protect himself. Effectively occupies gaps and allows teammates to make plays on the ball.
Neg:
Easily disrupted by the initial block. Primarily a backup throughout his Ohio State career. Marginal production.
Analysis:
Hill lacks great size but showed the quickness, leverage and movement skills to get consideration as a three-technique tackle entering his senior season. Multiple issues limited him to seven games last season, and he must make a big splash in camp this summer to be kept on a roster in September.
