Bio:
Three-year starter who earned the Ray Guy Award in 2017. Led the conference in punting average in 2016 and 2017 and was named Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Year in each of those two seasons. Named Honorable Mention All-Big 12 and averaged 41.29 yards per punt on a conference-high 77 punts as a true freshman. Former Australian Rules Football player.
Pos:
Strong-legged punter with the ability to flip the field and punt his team out of jams. Quickly gets the ball off his foot, gets tremendous hang time on punts and allows coverage units to get down the field and make plays on the ball. Does an outstanding job placing his punts where he wants to. Shows the ability to have the ball move in the air and confuse returners.
Neg:
Average directional kicker. Never proved himself as an effective bad-weather kicker.
Analysis:
Dickson is a nice-sized punter with next-level leg strength and the ability to develop into a starter if he refines the details of his game.
