Pos:
Fundamentally sound college tackle who projects to guard at the next level. Bends his knees, sinks his butt at the line of scrimmage and sets with a wide base. Patient, shows the ability to slide laterally and blocks with consistent fundamentals. Keeps his feet and hands active, keeps his head on a swivel and quickly picks up stunts and blitzes. Displays the ability to adjust and knock defenders from their angles of attack. Quick out to the second level and gives effort.
Neg:
Must improve his strength at the point of attack and learn to finish blocks. Occasionally get bull rushed off the line into the pocket. Must be more consistent with his hand placement.
Analysis:
Tucker was not graded by scouts before the season, but he looked terrific during his senior campaign and now moves towards the draft as a priority free agent. He comes with big upside but will need at least a year in an NFL weight-training program and must polish his game before he'll be ready for the next level.
