Bio:
Three-year starter named First Team All-AAC in each of his three seasons at South Florida. Rushed 174 times for 1,187 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2016 after leading the AAC with 1,381 rushing yards on 210 carries as a sophomore and scoring eight touchdowns. Led the conference with 1,041 rushing yards as a true freshman on 202 carries, adding nine TDs. Leaves school as USF’s career leader in rushing yards, all-purpose yards, touchdowns and 100-yard games.
Pos:
Large, downhill ball carrier who runs with an upright style. Powerful, runs hard on the inside and keeps his feet moving. Works to pick up as much yardage as possible. Smart, quickly finds the running lanes and possesses short-area quickness. Has a burst through the hole.
Neg:
Best between the tackles and ineffective around the perimeter. Slows down changing direction and isn’t a quick cutback runner. Runs with an upright style and makes himself an easy target for opponents.
Analysis:
Mack was productive the past three seasons at South Florida, but his running style and lack of versatility limits his next-level potential.
