Bio:
Two-year starter who earned First Team All-Big 12 honors in each of those seasons. Led Oklahoma with 62 receptions and eight receiving touchdowns and racked up 958 receiving yards as a senior. Made 31 catches for 489 yards and seven TDs in 2016. Started one game as a redshirt freshman and was named Second Team All-Big 12 after catching 19 passes for 318 yards and seven scores.
Pos:
Terrific pass-catching tight end with an underrated game. Plays with excellent awareness, stays on the same page as his quarterback and shows terrific focus and concentration. Easily adjusts to errant throws, uses the sidelines well and makes receptions in stride. Exposes himself to big hits and is a consistent hands catcher who grabs the ball away from his frame. Gets vertical and makes receptions in contorted positions. Tracks the pass in the air and makes catches with defenders draped on him.
Neg:
Displays limited quickness and does not have an explosive burst of speed. Rarely asked to block.
Analysis:
Andrews is a terrific pass-catching tight end who did well in his role at Oklahoma. He has limitations but would be very effective at the next level as a move tight end.
